UPDATE: Orchard St. Extension Repair Closure

UPDATE, as of March 24:

The construction project repairing the Sequoit Creek Culvert under Orchard St. between Main St. and Depot St. is nearing completion. The culvert has been replaced and curb, gutter, sidewalks and storm sewers have been completed. The concrete is currently curing, and is expected to be done by Wednesday, March 29 when the road will re-open.

The repair began March 1, 2017 after the Village Board approved Resolution No. 17-04 to award the contract to Bolder Contractors. Erosion and sedimentation control were a priority during construction and various Best Management Practices were followed to minimize impact on the watercourse. The creek has been returned to the culvert and no impact to the waterway was experienced.
