Zoey Costa Wows the Crowds at Cali’s Fashion Show

Attendees at this year's fashion show enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, wine, a silent auction, and a raffle.

Zeivel was also the chief organizer of the show and the donor of all of the outfits worn by the models at the event.

Fashion-conscious area residents knew exactly where the action was on Sunday, April 23. It was Cali Consignment’s Sixth Annual Fashion Show held at the Antioch Senior Center, 817 Holbek Dr.

The purpose of the each edition of the event is to raise funds for local charities. This year’s beneficiary was a special individual, Zoey Costa, 6, from southern neighbor, Wauconda.

Zoey is currently waging a battle against cancer. Donations and purchases at the event will help meet the expenses of treatment of the disease.

Zoey and her sister, Lacey, not only attended the event but delighted attendees by both modeling three outfits each. The high bidders for the items the girls modeled surprised the siblings by in turn giving giving them the outfits for their own wardrobe.

The fashion show which continues to grow in popularity featured appetizers, wine, a realtime auction of the clothing and accessories worn by the volunteer models, and a silent auction of the many items donated by area businesses.

Cali’s Consignment Corner, 345 Park Ave., Antioch, is the main sponsor of the event, with owner Nancy Zeivel serving as the organizer and donor of the clothes worn by the event’s models.
