Antioch Celebrates the Easter Holiday

The Easter Bunny sported a stylish purple vest and what appeared to be a recently-coiffed tail--exactly what one would expect from a leporid of such prominence.

Looking more like a swarm of locusts than a group of happy holiday hunters, area children begin their quest for candy-filled eggs during the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The Rabbit of the Hour, His Eggcellency, the Easter Bunny, rolled into Antioch on his special float during the village’s Easter Parade down Main St. on Saturday, April 15.

This year the hare sported a stylish purple vest and what appeared to be a recently-coiffed tail–eggsactly what one would eggspect from a leporid of such prominence.

The Easter festivities took place under sunny skies with temperatures hitting the 70-degree mark. Many of those who enjoyed the Parks and Recreation sponsored parade also took place in the annual Easter egg hunt and later had their photo taken with Mr. Easter Bunny himself.
